Dear clients and donors,

We are pleased to announce that as of May 25th, our stores and donation centres will gradually reopen. The opening hours of our stores will be restricted at first. Also, following the Quebec government's announcement, establishments that are in shopping centres or that do not have a door to the outside will remain closed for the time being.

For several weeks now, several members of the team have been preparing for the employees' return to work. Today, we would like to share with you the measures put in place to provide a safe environment for everyone: employees, clients, donors and partners. The reopening will take place in accordance with the health measures recommended by the Commission des normes, de l'équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST). All employees will receive training on health instructions, the use of personal protective equipment and new work methods, including :

1) Checking the state of health of everyone and disinfecting hands at the entrance of the stores
Every day upon arrival at work, employees will be required to complete a declaration of their state of health. Partners entering our establishments will also be affected by this measure. Similarly, in stores and donation centres, a receptionist will ask customers the regulatory questions about their state of health: symptoms, contact with an infected person, recent trip abroad, etc. We also reserve the right to take the temperature of people entering our establishments.
Hand disinfection will be mandatory before entering the stores. A disinfection station will be installed in the vestibule of all our stores.

2) Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
Renaissance provides the PPE to all its employees. For store and donation centre employees, gloves and a mask and/or visor must be worn at all times.
For customers and donors, the wearing of a mask is not mandatory but highly recommended.

3) Regular cleaning of surfaces and precautions taken with donations

All frequently touched surfaces (trolleys, counters, sales terminals, Plexiglas windows, work surfaces) will be cleaned at regular intervals during the day. Donations received will never be put up for sale immediately. They will only be displayed in the store after a 48-hour delay. In addition, we encourage our customers to wash their purchases when they return home.

4) Measures to promote social distancing
A distance of at least 2 meters between each person will be required. In order to do so, we will control the number of customers inside the stores, suggest that each visit should last no more than 60 minutes, and ask customers to move in one direction to avoid physical contact. Special signage will be put up to remind everyone to respect the 2-metre distance. Plexiglass panels will separate the checkout clerks from customers, and we will give preference to card payment. Finally, as a security measure, the fitting rooms will be closed until further notice. In compensation, the return policy will be extended to 7 days. All details and updates will be communicated on our website.

On behalf of Renaissance, I would like to thank you for your precious collaboration during this tumultuous period. The relationship of trust we have built with you is one of our key success factors for the future.

Greeting,

Éric Saint-Arnaud
General manager
