Moussa-renaissance

“It was difficult to find work here because I had no experience at all.”

Moussa has his bachelor’s degree in Social Science. His Burundian wife who has been in Québec for a while sponsored him. They have a six-month old baby.

“It was difficult to find work here because I had no experience at all.” Moussa learned about Renaissance and its training program through Emploi-Québec. After two days of training, he was assigned to the St-Hubert store. He is very happy there!

“I am autonomous, I am able to manage my schedule and my tasks. The team and the clients are happy, they encourage me, they have confidence in me and it inspires me to continue to do a good job.”

Moussa is convinced that the training will change a lot of things for him. “In addition to giving me my first work experience, the training also helps me to understand the local culture and to see how things function.”

He plans to take the necessary steps to have his degree recognized, but for the time being he hopes to keep working and thus assure a good quality of life for his wife and child.
