“I also developed my skills, I became more sure of myself and slowly but surely, I am overcoming my shyness.”

It has been fifteen years since Diana and her family arrived in Quebec, seeking a better future. After completing her Secondary 4, she married, became a mother and decided to devote her time to her family. Once her children were older she wanted to go out to work. She found a few small jobs but never anything stable. She wanted to work in customer service, but since she had no experience in that area, the doors were closed. “Making the choice to enroll in the training program at Renaissance, to be a sales clerk, sorter and cashier, allowed me to gain the experience I was missing.” Now, Diana is working, she is happy and hopes to continue her career in customer service.
