Job description :

At the heart of the Operations and Supply Services, the Manager plans, organizes, leads, controls and evaluates the activities of his store. He also supports the Store Supervisor in all the decisions taken by the department and in all the changes to be undertaken at the store. In addition, the Manager evolves in a used goods retail work environment which includes daily merchandise production to attain his sales objectives. The Manager also plays an important role in the job training mission for people who have been excluded from the workforce.

Under the authority of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager:

  • Reaches the sales objectives of the store;
  • Manages all the facets and particularities of a large surface store;
  • Assures the healthy management of the store including the optimization of the sorting activities (quality control, pricing, ticketing and marketing), stocktaking and administrative tasks (bank deposits, cash management, etc.);
  • Assures the integration and management of all the staff under his responsibility;
  • Supervises and accompanies the participants during their training, to help them learn and perform their tasks, and participates with the training team in the follow-ups and evaluations, etc.;
  • Supervises the application of all the policies and procedures of the organization and oversees the proper adherence of the internal safeguards and measures necessary to safeguard the organization’s assets;
  • Maintains a high level of customer service;
  • Assures that all emergency and safety procedures are well transmitted, understood and followed by all the staff;
  • Holds regular team meetings;
  • Oversees staff training, with the collaboration of the Human Resources department;
  • Participates, with the collaboration of the team, in the recruitment of candidates for permanent positions in the store;
  • Assures the proper maintenance of the work space;
  • Oversees the development and growth of the staff.

Required profile :

  • DEP in commerce or other pertinent field;
  • 3 years pertinent experience in a similar job;
  • Aptitude for staff management;
  • Adept at Word and Excel;
  • Ability to enthusiastically support the job training mission and the philosophy of Renaissance;
  • Strong team work and communication skills;
  • Punctual, rigorous, organized and professional;
  • Adaptable, good organizational skills, honest, autonomous and good initiative;
  • Good stress management;
  • Flexible availability to work (day, evening and weekend);
  • Bilingualism will be considered an asset.
