A native of Gabon, Marielle was trained as a hairdresser and esthetician. "When I got here, I didn't know where to go to look for work. I really liked my experience, because I now know how the job market works. After your training, they still help you. They give you advice on your résumé, your cover letters, how to get through an interview or look for work. I know that thanks to Renaissance, I'll easily find a job."
Training available
We are always looking for persons aged 18 and over, who are ready to undergo training and gain new work experience in one of our Fripe-Prix stores. Training programs and links for description are listed at the bottom of this page.
Regardless of the program chosen, you will participate in many group and individual training sessions. You will be coached and supported throughout the program by the management and social intervention teams.
Personal and social coaching
A counsellor coaches and supports you as you take steps towards improving your quality of life. He's there to listen to the difficulties you are having and help you find solutions for personal and social workshops.
Individual meeting with a social consellor.
Technical training
Theoretical and practical training.
Evaluation and improvement of employment skills.
Employability
Job search preparation (Curriculum Vitae writing, simulated interview).
Work integration assistance.
At the end of the program, we will still be there.
Individualized follow-up, for a period of up to two years, is available to you once you have completed an integration program. Your social counsellor will continue to offer you support and advice and help if you are looking for a new job and may suggest other resources, as needed. You will also have free access to the multi-service job search room.
